Meet our faculty
Mr. Peter Pisello
Director of Bands [email protected] Pietro Pisello is in his 9th year of music education. He is currently the Artistic Director and Conductor of the Arlington Heights Community Concert Band in Arlington Heights, Illinois. Previously, he was a band director at Rich Township High School in Matteson and Washington Elementary School in Waukegan. During his tenure at these schools, his marching, concert, pep and jazz bands have won several awards at festivals including the Chicago Football Classic, Jazz in the Meadows, and IHSA Organizational, Solo and Ensemble, and Pep Band Contests. Several of his students have also been selected to ILMEA District and All State Ensembles. Pietro graduated from Ridgewood High School in Norridge, IL and then attended Trinity International University in Deerfield, where he received his Bachelors degree in music education. He received his Masters of Music Education Degree from VanderCook College of Music in 2020. Pietro is also active in The Sicilian Band of Chicago where he plays trombone. He and his wife currently reside in Arlington Heights with their dog Minnie. |

Mr. Spakowski has been a Choir Director in the Chicagoland area for more than 10 years. Throughout his career he has had the privilege to work with choirs of all ages and skill levels and he is thrilled to be joining the community here TFN!
Originally from Rochester, New York, Mr. Spakowski moved to Chicago to attend DePaul University where he earned his Bachelor of Music Education in 2010. In 2018 while teaching in the Chicagoland area Mr. Spakowski received his Master’s in Choral Music Education from Florida State University in Tallahassee, Florida. Outside the classroom Mr. Spakowski enjoys spending time with his wife and son, renovating their home in Albany Park, playing guitar and against his best interest, playing golf.
